Senior Account Director, Print Division
Summary
We’re seeking an experienced print advertising professional with a strong background in entertainment to join our team as Senior Account Director. This person will play a senior leadership role within the Print Division, helping the Head of Print build and manage strong, lasting client relationships while overseeing projects and accounts in a profitable, efficient manner.
The ideal candidate brings extensive entertainment advertising experience from the print side, a strong understanding of the creative and production process, and a proven ability to manage complex client relationships and high-profile campaigns. This person should be comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, from helping shape client opportunities and grow business to overseeing day-to-day execution and ensuring projects are delivered at the highest level.
The Senior Account Director will serve as a senior point of contact for key clients, provide leadership and direction to account teams, and partner closely with Creative, Production and other agency departments to ensure client needs are met. A successful track record managing complex projects, navigating demanding client relationships and growing existing business is required.
Position may require periodic travel as well as the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Builds, maintains and grows strong client relationships and identifies opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business in partnership with the Head of Print and Creative Directors
- Serves as a senior point of contact for key client accounts and provides strategic counsel, helping clients identify the right creative and tactical solutions to meet their marketing objectives
- Leads the overall account strategy and ensures client expectations, agency capabilities, timelines and financial objectives remain aligned
- Oversees the delivery of print marketing services to assigned clients in a timely and profitable manner, including SOWs, schedules, PORs, estimates and billing
- Maintains a strong understanding of account financials and project profitability, identifying potential issues and opportunities early and working with internal teams to address them
- Provides leadership, guidance and mentorship to Account Executives and other Account Team members, helping establish priorities and ensuring strong client communication and follow-through
- Works closely with designers, Art Directors, Creative Directors, finishers and other divisions of the department, as well as other departments across the agency, to ensure creative direction and client feedback are clearly communicated and deliverables meet expectations
- Leads client meetings and presentations and represents the Print Division in both internal and external meetings
- Participates in new business efforts, pitches, ideation and brainstorms, bringing strategic and client perspective to opportunities
- Identifies opportunities to introduce clients to new strategies, services and solutions that can positively impact their business and grow the agency relationship
- Partners with the Head of Print and leadership on account planning, forecasting, staffing and new business projections
- Provides leadership during challenging or high-pressure projects, helping teams navigate shifting priorities, tight deadlines and significant client changes while maintaining strong client relationships
- Collects and reviews hours estimates from Creative, Production and other teams for pricing purposes and helps ensure projects are appropriately scoped
- Participates in regular Account, Production and leadership meetings to monitor project progress, account health, billing and new business opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience in print advertising, account management or related agency/client-side roles, preferably within entertainment advertising
- Proven track record managing significant client relationships and complex, high-profile print campaigns from strategy through execution
- Demonstrated ability to grow existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional business
- Strong understanding of entertainment advertising and extensive experience with print and OOH campaigns, including posters, billboards, bus wraps, subway signs, press kits and other entertainment marketing materials
- Exceptional client management skills with the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships and provide credible strategic counsel
- Ability to lead and influence creative, production and account teams while maintaining accountability for deadlines, quality and client expectations
- Strong business acumen, including experience managing project scopes, estimates, billing and profitability
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining a calm, solutions-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented when needed
- Strong judgment and ability to navigate difficult client situations, shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced creative environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- General familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign processes is a plus

- Competitive compensation ($200,000–$220,000 base salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications). The salary range represents the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of hire. In exceptional circumstances, compensation may exceed the posted range based on experience, qualifications and other relevant factors.
