Job Description
The Finishing Manager supports out-of-house preps and in-house finishing in collaboration with the Head of Post Production in LA and the Head of Finishing and Prep in NY. This position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can ensure final delivery of content without errors or rejections. Must be able to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities & Dutes:
  • Finishing and Delivery – Supervising Online Editors, Sound Mixers, and AEs to create final masters to client’s requested specs. Coordinate with Graphic Department for all final graphic needs. Gather all final deliverables and upload to client once materials have passed QC.
  • QC – Ensuring all final deliverables and prep materials are properly checked using company protocols before delivering to client. Address any notes discovered in the QC process. Communicate clearly and quickly the steps needed to resolve any QC issues.
  • Distribution of Work – Working closely with Head of Finishing and Prep and the Head of Post Production to efficiently distribute and prioritize daily deliveries between the LA & NY offices.
  • Communication - Internally with producers and externally with clients about the status of prep / finishing, including deadlines and ETAs. Updating stakeholders when there are any changes to client deliverables and responding promptly to client inquiries.
  • Tracking Projects – Creating and updating internal tracking documents as projects move through the finishing process. Inputting client’s most current specs and upload instructions to project docs.
Qualifications
  • An interest in theatrical, broadcast, and streaming marketing campaigns.
  • Two years in an Online / Finishing / QC role or two years as an Assistant Editor in a professional post-production environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Resolve. After Effects experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of codecs, resolutions, social media formats, various audio configurations, and color space.
  • Ability to read and understand final deliverable spec sheets.
  • Familiarity with various file delivery platforms such as Aspera, Box, Frame.io, etc.
  • Ability to communicate accurate and timely information to clients.
Additional Information:
  • Reports to: Head of Post (LA) and Head of Finishing (NY)
  • Non-Exempt (Hourly, Paid overtime) $40.86 p/hr to $43.27 p/hr. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Actual offers may vary based on work experience.
  • Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 12pm to 9pm. However, your hours may differ as later be determined by ZEALOT.
  • Some OT and weekends are required as our business is driven by our clients' needs.
  • You must be able to make a daily commute 4 x per week to the office to be considered for this job.
